JAKARTA, February 10, 2011 (WAFA) - An agreement was signed Thursday between Indonesian Minister of Health and Chief of the Islamic Bank in Gaza to establish a center for cardiac surgery in Gaza.

The donation comes at the initiative of the Indonesian President Susilo Yudhoyono.

A $3 million grant agreement was also signed between the Chief of the Islamic Bank and the Indonesian Minister of Social Services to finance small businesses that generate income for Palestinian families in Gaza.

Palestinians in Gaza suffer from serious negligence in medical care due to the ongoing Israeli siege.
