RAMALLAH, February 9, 2011 (WAFA) - Prime Minister Salam Fayyad urged visiting Dutch Foreign Minister Uri Rosenthal on Wednesday to encourage the European Union to play a bigger role in solving the Middle East conflict.
Fayyad briefed Rosenthal on the latest developments in the Palestinian Territory and the stalled peace process due to Israeli Intransigence.
He emphasized the importance of the international consensus on the declaration of the state of Palestine in September within the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Fayyad also informed Rosenthal of the Palestinian Authority’s efforts toward the completion of building its institutions.
The ministers discussed the upcoming donors meeting in June and bilateral relations.
