JERUSALEM, February 7, 2011 (WAFA) - Fatah Revolutionary Council member Dimitri Diliani Monday said that the construction of a new settlement in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Jerusalem comes after the proposal was made by two US based companies.
One of the settlers' key figures in Jerusalem, Haim Silverstein, is legally authorized to act on behalf of the companies in Jerusalem.
These two companies are forefront for Israeli extremist groups, said Diliani.
According to US law, the companies are held accountable for the violation of international law and human rights conventions which means they could be pursued legally.
US and international concern over developments in Egypt and the Middle East gave way for more Israeli expansion of settlement activities in East Jerusalem, said Diliani.
