Official: Nablus Needs NIS 40 Million to Rocover from Damage Caused by IOF
NABLUS, January 5, 2008 (WAFA) - Head of the Palestinian Workers Union, Shaher Sa'ed, said Saturday that the Nablus City is need for at least 40 million NIS to recover from the damage caused by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in the past three days.
Sa'ed said the damage caused by the Israeli tanks in the old city had cost the city at least 40 Million NIS ( the USD = 3.80 NIS).
He added that the old part of the city is totally surrounded by IOF, who attack local shops and businesses, in addition to a curfew being imposed in the city and workers not being allowed to reach their work.
Sa'ed called upon the government to convene this Monday in the city of Nablus in an act of solidarity with the city residents.
