President Bush: My Visit to Middle East is to Support Annapolis Peace Summit
WASHINGTON, January 5, 2008 (WAFA)-- The US President George W. Bush said that his visit to the Middle East came in support of Annapolis peace summit.
In an interview with 'Horra' TV. Channel, Bush said that he will push forward the peace negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians depending on three main things : ( the vision of the two states living side by side in peace, convincing the Arab countries by their interest in supporting peace, and reminding the people that the USA is committed to ensure security in the region).
Bush pointed out that both Presidents Mahmoud Abbas and the Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert desire to achieve a peace agreement and this desire is the one which brought Annapolis peace summit to success.
He added that he is aware that there will be a lot of issues which will distract attentions and people who will try put obstacles and others who will try to gather the focus of these two men as mush as possible.
Bush expressed his belief that the general broad lines and the definition of the Palestinian state can be achieved before he ends his rule as President of the USA in 2008 , confirming on the importance of the rehabilitating the Palestinian security and encouraging businessmen for investments and endorsing the role of the governmental associations , at that time the Palestinian state will be established and will take it' form.
