LONDON, January 4, 2008 (WAFA)-British State Minister for Middle East Affairs Kim Howells warned on Friday of the unhelpful aspects of the Israeli incursions and military operations in the Palestinian territories.

In a statement , Howells said that such Israeli acts, specially in the Gaza Strip would undermine the international peace process, calling on the Israeli occupation army to keep restrain and avoid harming civilians.

Howells voiced his government utmost concern over the deteriorated human situation in the Gaza Strip, stressing that his government exerts efforts to improve the situation.
