Presidency Calls for United Arab Stances as Peace Process Revived
RAMALLAH, January 3, 2008 (WAFA) - Palestinian Presidency on Thursday stressed that Palestinian and Arab stances should be united in order to cope with the upcoming challenges, mainly the resumption of peace process.
"There are big duties underway, including the negotiations that are expected in the coming months and the results of (U.S.) President (George W.) Bush's visit to the region which is supposed to leave positive effects on the peace process," Presidency spokesman Nabil Abu Rdeineh said.
Abu Redineh said that President Mahmoud Abbas would visit Saudi Arabia Saturday after he paid brief visits to Jordan and Egypt.
According to Abu Redineh, President Abbas' tour comes as part of the coordination with the Arab leaders ahead of Bush visit to the region.
