Dr. al-Malky: Israel Avoids Peace by Illegal Settlement Activities
RAMALLAH, January 2, 2008, (WAFA)_ Information Minister Dr. Ryad al-Malky rebuffed Tuesday the Israeli Premier Ehud Olmert's statements claiming that Israeli illegal settlement of "Malee Admomim" is part of Israel. Thus it avoids peace with the Palestinians.
Al-Malky stressed the fact that "all settlement activities are illegal in light of the UN resolutions", added "what the Israeli government, headed by Olmert, does completely contradict the spirit of international summit of "Annapolis" and the Road Map".
"Ultimately, we the Palestinians would not be able to move forward in the final status negotiations because such Israeli measures do not only hinder negotiations but also create a state of instability," he added.
He as well called on the U.S to held responsible against such measures to make sure that Israel would not manipulate international resolutions.
