6 Citizens, Dozens Wounded in Israeli Military Assault against Gaza
GAZA, January 2, 2008, (WAFA)- Six citizens were slain and dozens wounded early Wednesday when Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened random fire shooting against the citizens' houses in al-Shijaeya neighborhood, eastern Gaza Strip, witnesses and medics said.
Witnesses told reporters that six citizens were killed when a number of Israeli warplanes fired three missiles against a group of citizens in al-Nizar street of the neighborhood.
Palestinian medics confirmed that six dead bodies arrived the hospital of al-Shifa in Gaza city. Dozens were wounded as well due to the bombing. The martyrs are: Ahed Shamaly 30, Abdel Kreem al-Helu 22, Hamada Abu Amira 23, Salem al-Wadya 22, Yousef Shamaly 22 and Mousab Jendya 21.
Earlier, IOF, backed by military bulldozers, incurred eastern the neighborhood and opened random fire shooting against the citizens' houses minutes before razing vast areas of arable lands.
