Egyptian Official: Israel Threatens Denying Pilgrims' Access into Rafah Crossing by Force
GAZA, December 31, 2007, (WAFA)- An Egyptian official Mufeed Shehab said early Monday that Israel threatened to forcibly ban Gaza pilgrims, stuck in in al-Areesh city of Egypt, in case they tried to access through Rafah crossing.
He added that "Egypt has been conducting some calls with Israel and the European Union so as to settle the whole problem".
"Egypt does not want to let the Pilgrims access Rafah crossing from the Egyptian side as Israel will fiercely ban them by assault", he mede it clear.
