Jordan's FM: International Community Support Important to Peace
AMMAN, December 30, 2007 (WAFA) – Jordan's Foreign Minister Salahdin Bashir on Sunday affirmed the importance of support of the international community for the success of negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis within a specific timetable.
Bashir's statements came during talks with the US Senator Charles Schumer in Amman. Bashir briefed the senator on the efforts exerted by King Abdullah II at the aim of achieving peace and stability in the region, affirming in this regard.
He also called in Israel to take steps to establish confidence and to left the siege which is imposed on the Palestinian people.
