Israeli Soldiers Wound 2 Citizens at Beit Hanoun Crossing
RAMALLAH-BEIT HANOUN, October 2, 2007 (WAFA)-Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) wounded on Tuesday two citizens, including child in Beit Hanoun crossing (Eretz), medical sources and witnesses said.
They added that as hundred of prisoners’ families gathered at Eretz crossing to welcome their release sons, Israeli soldiers opened fire towards them, wounding the boy Mohammed al-Madhoun 13, and another citizen.
Yesterday ,Israeli authorities released 57 prisoners of the West Bank and there are still 30 others of the Gaza Strip due to be released today.
Israel holds around 11,000 Palestinian prisoners, and their release has long been a central Palestinian demand.
