Ban Ki-Moon: Arab Initiative can Form Basis for Settlement
TEL AVIV, March 24, 2007 (WAFA) -- United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon said Saturday he saw possibility that the Arab initiative could form basis for settling the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
He made the remarks upon his arrival in Israel for an official visit that will also take him to the Palestinian territories.
In the West Bank town of Ramallah, Ban is scheduled to meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Foreign Minister Sallam Fayadh.
