Barghouti: 1st Government Meeting Emphasized on Security
GAZA, March 18, 2007, (WAFA)- Minister of Information, Dr. Mostafa Barghouti, said Sunday that the first meeting of the Government, headed by President Abbass, focused on security and lifting the siege.
In a press conference, held in Gaza, Barghouti said that President Abbas has reconstructed the National Security Council.
He added that the Government emphasized on security issues, saying that it called the security apparatuses to speed their work up for achieving security.
Regarding the siege, Barghouti said that all Ministers were asked to put plans aiming at ending the embargo.
Minister of Information wondered regarding the attitude of the Israeli Government which refused the new Palestinian Government, adding that the Israelis did not read or understand its program.
