President Abbas Heads the First Meeting of the Government
GAZA, March 18, 2007, (WAFA)- President Mahmoud headed Sunday the opening meeting of the National Unity Government, in both Gaza and Ramallah.
During the video-conference meeting of the new formed government, President Abbas expressed deep thanks to the local, Arab and foreign parties participated in forming the Government.
He hoped the new era of the new government would witness security and development for the Palestinian people and for the Palestinian relations with different countries worldwide.
President asserted that the Palestinians are looking forward for the independent Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as its capital.
The meeting of the Government is linked by video-conference as Israeli Occupation Forces prevent Ministers from moving between the West Bank and Gaza.
