PCHR Condemns IOF Extra-Judicial Execution of 3 Citizens in Jenin
GAZA, February 28, 2007 (WAFA) - Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) strongly condemned Wednesday the ongoing escalation of attacks by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in the West Bank, which has peaked with the extra-judicial execution of 3 citizens in Jenin on Wednesday morning.
"This latest crime has coincided with an ongoing IOF military operation in Nablus, which has been the second of its kind this week," said PCHR in a press release.
PCHR held IOF responsible for such escalation, which aims at increasing tension in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT).
PCHR said it is gravely concerned over this latest escalation by IOF, reiterating its condemnation for extra-judicial executions committed by IOF against Palestinian activists.
The Centre called upon the international community to immediately intervene to stop such crimes, and reiterated its call for the High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention to ensure protection for Palestinian civilians in the OPT.
