GAZA, March 25, 2004, (WAFA) - President Yasser Arafat expressed on Wednesday the Palestinian rejection for targeting civilians from both sides, Palestinians and Israelis.... President Arafat's remarks were made after a meeting with a delegation of the International Socialism Organization at his besieged headquarters in the West Bank city of Ramallah.... Arafat announced that he rejects the attacks that target civilians in both sides, the Israelis and the Palestinians. "We are totally against targeting civilians from both sides" Arafat said.... President Arafat urged the Quartet Committee to end the daily Israeli brutal crimes carried out against the innocent and defenseless Palestinian people in the Occupied Territories.... "We reiterate our commitments to the Road Map peace plan in the Middle East, and we call on the Quartet to put a timetable for implementing the plan, and send international observers to the Palestinian Territories," Arafat told reporters.... Arafat called upon the Quartet Committee to shoulder responsibility and stop the daily Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.... "Israel is killing our Palestinian people every day, and the last killing was of my brother and hero, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, and all other martyrs," Arafat said.
