Ageing Civilian Dies of Suffocation by IOF Tear-Gas
HEBRON, March 24, 2004, (WAFA)- An ageing civilian died early Wednesday of suffocation due to tear-gas canisters fired yesterday by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on a peaceful rally in Hebron protesting the assassination of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, witnesses and medical sources said.... Witnesses reported that IOF soldiers fired live bullets and tear-gas canisters against the civilians who poured into streets of Hebron City area of Bab al-Zawia to protest the Israeli atrocious crime of murdering Sheikh Ahmed Yassin.... Medics in Alia Hospital in the city confirmed that Ibrahim Ghandoor, 69, was killed of suffocation as he inhaled a great amount of tear-gas.... "Al-Ghandoor inhaled excessive amounts of tear-gas, a poisonous gas that completely blocked the windpipe, due to which he died 12 hours after going through artificial respiration in the intensive care unit", the Hospital Director Dr. Ismael Bdair said....
