IOF Wounds Civilian, Razes Arable Land
RAFAH, March 23, 2004 (WAFA)- Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) Wounded Tuesday a civilian in Rafah, demolished a house and razed vast areas of land in Deir al-Balah City in Gaza Strip, medics, witnesses and security sources said.... Al-Najjar medics told WAFA that Mahmoud Melou al-Ain, 30, was critically wounded by a live gunshot in the waist when Israeli soldiers randomly opened heavy fire at civilians’ houses in Tal al-Sulatan neighborhood of Rafah.... Eyewitnesses said that Israeli soldiers opened heavy fire from their watchtowers near Tal al-Sultan area, and wounded a pedestrian.... Meanwhile, security sources confirmed that four Israeli tanks, three bulldozers and eight military jeeps swept into Abu al-‘Ajeen area in Deir al-Balah, demolished a house and razed agricultural land owned by al-Semeiry family.... Eyewitnesses said that IOF vehicles rolled into the area, demolished a house of Ibraheem al-Semeiry, razed arable land and destroyed a civilian car....
