IOF Wounds Child and Woman in Rafah
RAFAH, March 18, 2004 (WAFA)- Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) wounded Thursday two civilians in the Gaza Strip City of Rafah, according to medical sources.... Al-Najjar Hospital sources told WAFA that Najiya al-Akhras, 40, and Mahmoud al-Najjar were wounded today in the city of rafah.... Medics added that al-Najjar was shot with alive gunshot in the head, while al-Akhras was shot in the thigh.... Witnesses said that IOF soldiers, stationed near the Palestinian-Egyptian borders, indiscriminately opened heavy machine gun fire on Rafah refugee camp , critically injuring two civilians.... In the mean time, IOF soldiers blocked, today afternoon, the Salah al-Deen main road, linking between the South and north of the Gaza Strip , security sources reported.... Witnesses told WAFA that IOF soldiers, positioned at Abu Holly checkpoint, south of Deir al-Balah city, suddenly blocked the road and held hundreds of people and travelling cars....
