RAMALLAH, Thursday, July 9, 2020 (WAFA) – The Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry Thursday night announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and the death toll among Palestinians in the diaspora have risen to 3,438 and 173 respectively.
The ministry said in a statement that there were 3,438 confirmed novel coronavirus cases, 173 fatalities and 1,462 recovery cases among Palestinians in the diaspora.
Providing more details, the ministry said that 11 Palestinians tested positive for the virus in the US, raising the total confirmed cases among Palestinians in the country to 1,898. The death toll among them stood at 64.
Meanwhile, the ministry confirmed the first Palestinian to contact the virus in Venezuela. The case is that of a student pursuing his education there.
In Chili, five Palestinian COVID-19 patients have recovered, raising the total recovery cases to 25. The total confirmed cases and fatalities among Palestinians in this country stood at 32 and one respectively.
