RAMALLAH, Thursday, July 9, 2020 (WAFA) – Palestine Thursday evening confirmed two novel coronavirus fatalities, raising the total death toll since the pandemic outbreak to 27.
Health Minister Mai al-Kaileh announced that a 79-year-old woman from Dura town, south of Hebron, and a 68-year-old man from Hebron city died due to the virus.
According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) reached 5,829.
Out of the 5,829 cases, 5,148 are recorded in the West Bank, 72 in the Gaza Strip and 609 in East Jerusalem.
Recoveries have totaled 699, including 174 in East Jerusalem, leaving a total of 5,103 active cases.
The total confirmed cases have reached so far 4,029 in Hebron district, accounting for approximately 69 percent of the total cases in all districts.
Out of the 4,029 cases in Hebron district, recovery cases and fatalities reached 115 and 19 respectively, leaving a total of 3,895 active cases in the district.
