RAMALLAH, Monday, July 6, 2020 (WAFA) – Palestine Monday morning confirmed 64 new coronavirus cases, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the occupied territories since the pandemic outbreak to 4,786.
Health Minister Mai al-Kaileh announced in a press statement that out of the 64 new cases, 34 cases were recorded in Hebron district, 14 in Jerusalem, eight others in Bethlehem district, three others in Ramallah and al-Bireh district, two others in Tulkarm district, two more in Jericho district and one in Nablus district.
Earlier today, al-Kaileh confirmed a new coronavirus fatality, raising the total death toll since the pandemic outbreak to 21.
She added that eight coronavirus patients remain in the intensive care units, including three who remain connected to respirators.
According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) reached 4,786.
Out of the 4,786 cases, 4,339 are in the West Bank, 72 in the Gaza Strip and 447 in East Jerusalem.
Recoveries have totaled 665, including 491 in the West Bank and Gaza and 174 in East Jerusalem, leaving a total of 4,100 active cases.
