RAMALLAH, Friday, July 3, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is clear, dry and very hot in daytime and partially cloudy to clear and relatively hot in nighttime with a rise in temperature which approaches 6°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly wind blows with occasional gusts in daytime, while moderate to active northwesterly wind blows in nighttime. Sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 35°C and a low of 21°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 34°C and a low of 20°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 44°C and a low of 28°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Saturday’s temperature is set to significantly drop and approach 3°C above the seasonal average, particularly in the mountains, causing a relief in the heat stress.

Sunday’s temperature is set to remain steady with generally clear and relatively hot to hot conditions in daytime and mild conditions in nighttime.

Temperature is set to slightly drop and become seasonal on Monday, paving the way to partially cloudy to clear and relatively hot conditions in daytime and mild to slightly cold conditions in nighttime.

PMD warns people against exposure to sunlight for long period, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and against setting fire to dry grassy areas, particularly on Friday.
