JERUSALEM, Saturday, June 27, 2020 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained this morning a Palestinian at Qalandia checkpoint, north of Jerusalem, according to witnesses.
They said the forces detained the Palestinian after they suspected he had a knife even though this version of the story could be immediately verified.
The soldiers manning the checkpoint closed it immediately leaving a long line of cars waiting to move between Jerusalem and Ramallah.
Israeli forces on Tuesday shot and killed a Palestinian man at a checkpoint south of Jerusalem prompting human rights organization to say that the checkpoints have become a "death trap" for Palestinians in the occupied territories.
