RAMALLAH, Saturday, June 27, 2020 (WAFA) – Latest figures of coronavirus in the Palestinian territories confirmed 67 new cases this morning, raising the total in Palestine to 1862, according to Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.
She said that of the new cases, 33 were in the Bethlehem governorate, whose governor declared a two-day lockdown early next week, 20 in the Hebron district, which has been under lockdown for a week, eight in Nablus district, four in Izzariyeh, east of Jerusalem, and two in Ramallah.
She said 11 cases remain in serious condition at the intensive care unit, two of them are on respirators.
A total of 620 patients have recovered while five total have died since the start of the pandemic in Palestine in early March, leaving 1237 active cases.
Of the total coronavirus cases, 1552 are in the West Bank, 72 in the Gaza Strip and 238 in East Jerusalem.
Of the 620 recovered cases, 390 are in the West Bank, 56 in the Gaza Strip, and 174 in East Jerusalem.
Of the five deaths, two were in the West Bank, two in Jerusalem and one in the Gaza Strip.
