RAMALLAH, February 10, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to cloudy and very cold with steady temperature which remains 9°C below the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Scattered light rainfall is still expected on various districts, especially in the morning and noon hours. Snow flurries are expected on mountains with an altitude above 800 meters, especially in the south. Frost formation is expected in the early morning and night hours, especially in mountainous districts.
Moderate to active northwesterly wind prevails. Sea waves are medium. Sea waves are medium.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 5°C and a low of 1°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 4°C and a low of 0°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 8°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 13°C and a low of 8°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
The cold front is set to continue to affect the region on Tuesday, paving the way to partly cloudy and very cold conditions, particularly in the early morning and night hours. Temperature is set to slightly rise, but remains unseasonably low. Frost is expected to form in most districts.
Wednesday’s temperature is set to significantly rise with partly cloudy and cold to very cold conditions. Scattered light rainfall is expected, particularly in the north.
Thursday’s temperature is set to further significantly rise and become seasonal, paving the way to clear and mild conditions in daytime and relatively cold conditions in nighttime.
PMD warns people against frost formation, slippery roads and low visibility on Monday and Tuesday.
