RAMALLAH, Wednesday, February 05, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is mainly clear and pleasant in daytime and partly cloudy and relatively cold to cold in nighttime with a rise in temperature which becomes unseasonably high, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light to moderate southwesterly to southerly wind prevails. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 16°C and a low of 10°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 15°C and a low of 9°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 23°C and a low of 13°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 21°C and a low of 13°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Thursday’s temperature is set to drop with partly cloudy and relatively cold to cold conditions. Scattered rainfall is expected in the night hours, particularly in the northern and central districts.

A polar cold front in set to affect the region on Friday, causing temperatures to plummet. So, stormy and cold to very cold conditions are set to prevail. Rainfall is expected on most districts, accompanied with thunderstorms and occasional hail, and will intensify towards the night. Snowfall is expected on high mountains after midnight.

Saturday’s temperature is set to further drop with stormy and cold to very cold conditions. Torrential rainfall is still expected on all districts, along with thunderstorms and occasional hail.
