ANKARA, Wednesday, January 29, 2020 (WAFA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said today US President Donald Trump‘s plan for peace in the Middle East, in which he declared Jerusalem as “Israel’s undivided capital”, is "never acceptable."
Trump’s plan ignores Palestinians‘ rights and attempts to legitimize Israel‘s occupation. It will not serve peace and a solution in the region, said Erdogan, according to Anadolu new agency.
"Jerusalem is sacred for Muslims and Trump‘s so-called peace plan proposing to leave Jerusalem to Israel is never acceptable," he stressed.
