RAMALLAH, Tuesday, January 21, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is very cold and rainy in most districts with a significant drop in temperature and a chance of snow on mountains higher than 900 meters, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is northwesterly, active and gusty at times with very high sea waves.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 6°C and a low of 3°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 5°C and a low of 2°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 8°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 13°C and a low of 8°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A rise in temperature is expected for Wednesday with mostly cloudy skies and cold to very cold conditions. Isolated rainfall is still expected on most districts.

No change in temperature is expected for Thursday and Friday with partly cloudy skies and cold to very cold conditions. Light rain is still expected on some districts on Thursday but will pick up on Thursday evening and Friday with thunderstorms and hail.

PMD warns people against the risk of flash floods in low area and valleys, gusty winds, slippery roads and low visibility.
