RAMALLAH, Sunday, January 19, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is rainy and very cold with another drop in temperature. Rain along with thunderstorms and occasional hail are expected on most areas, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southwesterly to westerly and active to gusty. Sea waves are high.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 9°C and a low of 6°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 8°C and a low of 5°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 11°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 15°C and a low of 11°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Rain, thunderstorms and hail are also expected for Monday on most areas. Temperature drops again on Tuesday as a cold front is expected to affect the region. Therefore, rain is expected to continue to fall, with a chance of snowfall on mountains and high areas.

However on Wednesday, temperature is expected to rise as the cold front comes to an end. Partially cloudy skies are expected.

PMD warns people against the risk of flash floods in low areas and valleys, gusty winds, slippery roads and low visibility.
