President Abbas arrives in Oman to pay last respects to Oman’s late Sultan

 

MUSCAT, Sunday, January 12, 2020 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas arrived today in Oman to offer condolences to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, the successor to the late Sultan Qaboos Bin Said bin Taimour who died on Friday after nearly 50 years in power.

President Abbas expressed his profound sympathy and heartfelt condolences over the death of late Sultan Qaboos Bin Said.

He stressed that the Arab and Islamic worlds have lost an eminent leader who devoted his life to serving his country and people with wisdom and grace, praising what Oman has achieved during the rule of the late sultan and affirming the deep brotherly relations between the two countries and peoples.

President Abbas led a high-level delegation to Oman to pay their last respects to the late Sultan.
