RAMALLAH, Friday, January 10, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to cloudy and unseasonably cold as rain showers are set to fall in most districts, accompanied with occasional thunderstorms, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
The rain is set to gradually weaken in the evening and night. Moderate to active southwesterly to northwesterly winds will prevail. Sea waves are medium.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 9°C and a low of 4°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 8°C and a low of 3°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 9°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 8°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Saturday’s weather is partly cloudy to cloudy and chilly in all districts with a slight rise in temperature, though it will remain below seasonal. A slight chance of isolated light rainfall is expected on some districts.
Sunday’s temperature is set to remain steady with partly cloudy to cloudy and cold in daytime and extremely cold in nighttime, particularly in mountainous districts. Chance of isolated light rain is expected on some districts.
A slight rise in temperature is expected on Monday with partly cloudy to cloudy and relatively cold to cold conditions in daytime and extremely cold conditions in nighttime. A chance of scattered light rain is expected on some districts.
PMD warns people against the risk of slippery roads, low visibility and flash floods in flood-prone areas.
