RAMALLAH, Friday, January 03, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to cloudy and chilly in various districts with a significant drop in temperature, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Scattered rainfall, along with occasional thunderstorms and hail, are expected on various districts, with the rain gradually intensifying towards the night. Moderate to strong southwesterly to westerly winds will prevail. Sea waves are medium to high.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 10°C and a low of 5°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 9°C and a low of 4°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 11°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 15°C and a low of 9°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Saturday’s weather is cloudy and chilly. Frequent showers, along with thunderstorms and occasional hail, are expected on various districts. Strong winds will prevail.
Temperature on Sunday remains unseasonably low with mostly cloudy, stormy and chilly conditions. Occasional showers, which could be torrential, are expected on various districts, along with thunderstorms and a chance of hail.
Monday’s temperature is set to rise and become seasonal with partly cloudy and mainly cold conditions in various districts. A slight chance of scattered rainfall is expected in the early morning hours, especially in the north.
PMD warns people against gusty winds, low visibility, slippery roads and the risk of flash floods in flood-prone areas on Saturday and Sunday.
