Consumer price index down by 0.31% in October, says statistics bureau

 

RAMALLAH, Thursday, 14 November 2019 (WAFA) - The overall consumer price index (CPI) for Palestine during October decreased by 0.31% compared with September.

CPI decreased by 1.05% in Gaza Strip and by 0.21% in the West Bank, while it slightly increased by 0.09% in Jerusalem.

The CPI during October increased by 1.59% compared with October 2018. It increased by 1.95% in the West Bank and by 1.45% in Jerusalem, while it decreased by 0.40% in Gaza Strip.

The changes in Palestinian CPI for October were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:
