RAMALLAH, Thursday, October 24, 2019 (WAFA) - The Construction Cost Index (CCI) in the West Bank increased during the month of September compared to August for residential, non-residential and skeleton buildings, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said today.
CCI for residential buildings increased by 0.15% due to increase in labor wages by 1.03% and rental of equipment by 0.46%, while the prices of raw materials decreased by 0.41%.
It also increased for non-residential buildings by 0.09% due to increase in labor wages by 1.03%, and rental of equipment by 0.41%, while the prices of raw materials decreased by 0.46%.
CCI for skeleton buildings also increased by 0.13% due to an increase in labor wages by 1.54%, and rental of equipment by 0.46%, while the prices of raw materials decreased by 0.56%.
The PCBS also said the overall Road Cost Index (RCI) decreased by 0.27% in the West Bank during September compared with August as the prices of raw materials decreased by 0.66%, and operating costs of equipment and maintenance by 0.04%, while labor wages increased by 0.87%, and rental of equipment increased by 0.26%.
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) also increased by 0.11%, while Water Reservoirs Cost Index decreased by 0.28%, and the overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) increased by 0.49% in the West Bank during September compared with the previous month, said the PBCS.
