RAMALLAH, Friday, July 3, 2020 (WAFA) - Palestine Friday morning confirmed 68 new coronavirus cases and one fatality, raising the total number of confirmed cases and the death toll in the occupied territories since the pandemic outbreak to 3,485 and 13 respectively.
The Health Ministry announced a woman, 68, from Adh-Dhahiriya town, southwest of Hebron, the new epicenter of the pandemic, died to the virus, and that 68 new cases were recorded in various West Bank district.
Out of the 68 new cases, 41 cases were recorded in Hebron district, 26 others in Bethlehem district besides to one in Ramallah and al-Bireh district.
The Ministry also confirmed three recovery cases in the besieged Gaza Strip, raising the total recovery cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) to 637.
Out of the 3,485 cases, 3,076 are in the West Bank, 72 in the Gaza Strip and 337 in East Jerusalem.
Recoveries have reached 637 total, including 463 in the West Bank and Gaza and 174 in East Jerusalem, leaving a total of 2,835 active cases.
