RAMALLAH, Sunday, August 04, 2019 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic dailies focused in their Sunday issue on the meeting of the committee charged with stopping work on the agreements signed with Israel started in Ramallah.
The said President Mahmoud Abbas chaired the first meeting of the committee in Ramallah yesterday in order to find out the mechanisms to stop work on the agreements signed with Israel.
On a different subject, Al-Ayyam and Al-Quds said the UN-OCHA called on Israeli authorities to stop the policy of demolishing Palestinians’ homes.
The dailies said the Permeant Representative of Palestine to the UN, Riyad Mansour, expressed his resentment over not including Israel in the US Secretary General’s “shame list” regarding violations against children.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida quoted Jibril Rajoub, head of the Palestinian Football Association, as saying that this year’s Palestinian national football league is at stake as a result of the severe financial crisis affecting the Palestinian Authority.
Al-Quds and al-Ayyam said the family of Mohammed Samir Obeid in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiyeh was warned yesterday by the Israeli authorities against holding a banquet in memory of their son, killed by Israeli forces in June.
