Several injured, others detained in colonist attack on village near Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, June 14, 2025 (WAFA) – Several Palestinian residents were injured and others detained on Saturday after Israeli colonists attacked the village of Ma'azi Jaba’, a Bedouin community located east of occupied Jerusalem.

According to WAFA correspondent, colonists from the nearby settlement of Adam stormed the village, assaulted residents, and caused multiple injuries of varying severity. Emergency medical crews from Ramallah and Jerusalem were prevented from reaching the area due to roadblocks and the closure of the nearby Jaba' military checkpoint, which was sealed with an iron gate.

Israeli occupation forces later raided the village, breaking into homes and detaining a number of residents, including some of those injured in the initial assault.

The incident is the latest in a series of violent attacks and military-imposed restrictions that continue to affect Palestinian communities across the occupied West Bank.
