KUALA LUMPUR, June 14, 2025 (WAFA) – Malaysia has welcomed the strong and clear support shown by the international community for Palestine, following the adoption of a resolution during the 10th Emergency Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly held on June 12 in New York.

In a statement, Malaysia reaffirmed its unwavering stance on the Palestinian cause and expressed pride in having participated in and supported the resolution. The country noted that the overwhelming vote—149 UN member states in favor—demonstrates a growing political and moral commitment to peace and stability in the Middle East.

Malaysia urged Israel to fully comply with its obligations under international law, including the implementation of an immediate, permanent, and unconditional ceasefire, an end to attacks on civilians, and the safe, rapid, and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid.

The statement reiterated Malaysia’s steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian people and called on the international community to intensify efforts toward the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
