RAMALLAH, Wednesday, June 26, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is hot to very hot in various districts in daytime with a rise of temperature which approaches 7°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Weather is mild in mountainous districts and relatively hot in other districts in nighttime. Wind is northwesterly and light to moderate with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 22°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 32°C and a low of 21°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 44°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Temperature drops on Thursday and approaches 5°C above the average but remains relatively hot in mountainous districts and very hot conditions in the Jordan Valley in daytime. Mild to relatively hot conditions are expected in nighttime.
PMD expects Friday’s temperature to significantly drop, paving the way to partially cloudy to clear and pleasant conditions in mountainous districts and relatively hot conditions in other districts in daytime. Pleasant conditions are expected in the evening and nighttime.
Saturday’s temperature is set to remain steady with seasonably pleasant conditions in mountainous districts and relatively hot conditions in other districts in daytime. Mild conditions are expected in nighttime.
PMD warns people against direct exposure to sunlight for long hours, particularly between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, and setting fire to areas of dry grass.
