Israeli police keeps woman off Aqsa Mosque for standing up for its forces

 

JERUSALEM, Tuesday, January 29, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli police ordered a Palestinian woman from inside Israel away from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 15 days because she confronted them when members of the police force violated the sanctity of the Muslim holy place after they entered the mosque buildings, according to WAFA correspondent.

Police held Muntaha Imara, a resident of the village of Zulfa, at the Jaffa Gate police station in Jerusalem for several hours on Monday after chasing her inside Al-Aqsa compound when she confronted their provocative presence in the Muslim holy place. She was arrested as she left the compound.

Imara was released on Monday night after police gave her an order not to be at the Mosque for 15 days, Police also warned buses transporting Muslim worshippers from inside Israel heading to Al-Aqsa Mosque against giving her a ride with them or their buses will be impounded.

This was not the first time Imara was detained by police and ordered to keep away from Al-Aqsa Mosque.
