RAMALLAH, Thursday, January 17, 2019 (WAFA) – More than 60% of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip believe that blackmail through the electronic media is confined, according to a survey by the social media group ipoke published on Thursday.
It said 31.3% believe it is more general while 8% believe it is rare.
The majority of those surveyed said they never had to face this problem while only 12.5% admitted to have experienced it at one time or another with 11.4% of them saying they were able to deal with it on their own.
A total of 76.3% of the respondents said males showed more readiness to use electronic blackmail while 23.7% said females.
The report said 1300 cases of electronic blackmail crimes were recorded in 2018,
