Weather: Partially cloudy to clear skies with chance of rain as polar front ends

 

RAMALLAH, Thursday, January 17, 2019 (WAFA) – Partially cloudy to clear skies are expected for Thursday as the cold front that hit the area on Wednesday afternoon and night ends, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

A chance of rain is expected during the day only while wind is southwesterly to northwesterly, moderate to active with strong blows of wind and sea waves are medium to high.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 9°C and a low of 5°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 8°C and a low of 4°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 10°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 16°C and a low of 9°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Temperature is expected to rise on Friday through Saturday even though cold conditions are expected to continue, mainly at night.
