In response to Israeli ban on Palestinian agricultural product, Fatah calls for boycott of Israeli products

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, December 26, 2018 (WAFA) – Senior officials of the ruling Fatah party called on Wednesday for a boycott of Israeli agricultural products in a tit-for-tat move after Israel banned entry of Palestinian agricultural products to its market.

Fatah’s deputy chairman, Mahmoud Aloul, said at meeting that included representatives from various Palestinian ministries, consumer protection organizations and groups that support local producers that his movement adopted the boycott move in response the Israeli decision.

He said that there has to be a clear official and popular stand from the boycott of the Israeli vegetables and fruits, the two products Israel had banned entry into its market in reprisal for what it said was Palestinian ban on entry of live sheep imported by Israelis into the Palestinian market.
