RAMALLAH, Wednesday, December 26, 2018 (WAFA) – Palestinian forces’ role is to implement decisions made by courts, especially the Supreme Constitutional Court, said official spokesperson of the Palestinian security forces Adnan Damiri.

Damiri told WAFA that it was the security forces’ duty to implement the recent Supreme Constitutional Court’s decision dissolving the largely defunct Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC).

He stressed that it’s not permitted for anyone to impersonate members of the legislature or to speak for them, adding that it’s illegal to do so.

Damiri’s statements came in response to news about the deployment of security forces in front of the PLC building in Ramallah.
