RAMALLAH, Monday, December 17, 2018 (WAFA) - The Palestine Institute for Public Diplomacy (PIPD) opened on Monday in Ramallah the #MyPalestine photography exhibit displaying photos taken by Palestinians and people from around the world of Palestine through their eyes.
A PIPD press release said #MyPalestine is a crowd-sourced photography campaign that ran from March to September 2018 under the hashtag #MyPalestine. Thousands of submissions were narrowed down to 30 photos by a group of global judges.
PIPD‘s Executive Director Salem Barahmeh noted, "#MyPalestine gave people a chance to show the beauty of Palestine to the world and tell stories of their own realties that are missing from public discourse, coverage and perceptions of Palestine. We have a rich culture, history and traditions; an amazing and resilient people; and a beautiful country that the whole world should see."
The exhibit will be held at Al-Mustawda, a charitable fundraising space in Ramallah, until the end of January 2019.
It will later feature in different cities around the world, including London, Berlin and Washington, D.C.
PIPD is an independent, non-governmental organization based in Ramallah with the mission of sharing the story of Palestine with the world and investing in capability building at home.
