TOUBAS, Monday, December 17, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces conducted on Monday military drills near Aqaba and Tayasir villages east of the town of Toubas in the Jordan Valley and placed its tanks and military vehicles near Tayasir Boy School, according to local sources.

The army had also ordered 14 Palestinian families from Khirbet Ibziq, to the north of Toubas, to leave their homes on Sunday night because of the large-scale military drills in the area.

The sources told WAFA that Israeli forces deployed dozens of tanks and armored vehicles at the entrance of Aqaba and that explosions of artillery shells were heard all over that area.

Palestinians believe the military drills are intended to push them out of their lands and villages in order to replace them with Jewish settlers.
