QALQILIA, Sunday, December 16, 2018 (WAFA) – An unidentified Palestinian youth was shot and critically injured during clashes with Israeli forces in the Qalqilia area, in the occupied West Bank, said local sources.
Sources told WAFA a youth was shot and critically injured with an explosive bullet fired by Israeli forces during clashes that broke out in al-Sader area, in Qalqilia.
The youth was transferred to Darwish Nazzal Hospital in the city of Qalqilia for medical treatment, where he had to undergo six hours of surgery.
The ministry of health said the explosive bullet caused liver and duodenal lacerations, ureteral injury, and an injury to the main artery, as well as spinal and rib fractures.
The youth is now in a critical but stable condition.
He was admitted into Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and will undergo another surgery within 24 hours.
