JERUSALEM, Sunday, December 16, 2018 (WAFA) – An Israeli court Sunday sentenced the mother of Mohammed Abu Ghannam, a 20-year-old Palestinian who was killed by Israeli occupation forces in Jerusalem on 21 July 2017, to 11 months in prison.
Israeli authorities accused the mother, Susan from Al-Tur/Mount of Olives neighborhood of East Jerusalem, of “incitement” for posting on her personal Facebook account after the death of her son. She was detained by Israeli forces in early August 2018.
Israeli forces shot Mohammed as he joined protests in Jerusalem against the installation of metal detectors outside of al-Aqsa Mosque.
